What “1 of 1” Means Here

From the bench in Denver · August 2026

Some pieces in the shop carry a "(1 of 1)" in their name and a badge in the grid. That label is a promise, and it's worth spelling out exactly what the promise is - because "one of a kind" gets thrown around loosely in jewelry, and I mean it literally. Here are the questions I get asked at the booth, answered straight.

What does “1 of 1” actually mean?

One physical piece. I mix the inlay by hand, pour it once, finish the piece once, and list it with a quantity of exactly one. When it sells, it belongs to one person and the listing comes down - the availability badges on the site pull straight from my live inventory, so a 1 of 1 you can see is a 1 of 1 that's actually still on the shelf. The Phish Sphere pendants are the clearest example: every one is its own pour, like the natural turquoise Sphere or the confetti all-stone Sphere, and they exist across the rest of the catalog too - the purple turquoise Maddy O'Neal pendant is a 1 of 1 as well.

Will you ever make another one?

No. A 1 of 1 is never poured again. On 1-of-1 work I don't repeat the inlay combination, and the sold piece stays sold - there's no second run, no "back by popular demand." Two things are worth separating here, because they sound similar and aren't:

So when a 1 of 1 is gone, what's gone isn't a design you can reorder. It's the piece itself.

How is a 1 of 1 different from made-to-order?

They're opposite ends of the same bench. A made-to-order piece starts with you: pick your stones from the catalog (the stone meanings guide helps), pick your size if it's a ring like the Magic Beans inlay ring, and I cast it fresh for your order - figure 2–3 weeks before it ships. It's built around your choices, and I can make another one for the next person who orders, though their pour will land differently than yours.

A 1 of 1 starts with me. It was designed and poured on its own terms, there's exactly one, and it ships like any in-stock piece - usually within 3–5 business days. You're not commissioning it; you're claiming it. Both are solid 925 sterling silver, hand-finished in Denver, and both ship USPS Priority at a flat $10 in the US.

How do I know which pieces are 1 of 1?

It says so on the piece itself. The product name carries "(1 of 1)," the card in the shop grid wears a badge, and the availability updates live from the shop - 1-of-1 pieces disappear when they sell. If you're deciding on one, the practical advice is simple: don't sit on it. There is no restock coming, because a restock would break the promise.

The 1 of 1 I wanted sold. Now what?

The sold piece stays sold - that's the whole point, and the person wearing it is trusting me to keep it that way. But you're not out of options. Start a piece through the custom form and tell me what pulled you in: name the stones, or just describe the feeling and leave the mix as dealer's choice. What you get won't be a copy - it'll be a new pour in the same spirit, and it will be entirely yours. Which, if you think about it, is exactly the thing you liked about the first one.

The band-referencing pieces, Sphere pendants included, are fan tribute work - made by one person in Denver, inspired by the culture around the music, and not affiliated with or endorsed by any band, artist, or their rights holders. Because everything is handmade and much of it one-of-a-kind, all sales are final; if something arrives with a craftsmanship issue, I make it right. Details on the shipping & returns page.
