A Colorado sound, a Colorado bench

Pretty Lights came out of Fort Collins, about an hour up the road from where I pour these. The music was built from old soul and funk records chopped over heavy electronic low end, and for years the albums went out as free downloads - you didn't buy your way into this scene, you got handed it. Red Rocks nights, festival sets, the long quiet, the return. If you were there for any part of it, you know why people wear the logo like it means something. It does.

I make jewelry for the live-music community full time in Denver, and this collection is my way of putting that particular history into metal. Every pendant is an original sculpt, cast in solid 925 sterling silver at my bench - no plating, no hollow backs.

Two logos, one family

Fans split by era, so the collection does too. The OG logo is the mark from the early days - the one you'd have first seen on a burned CD or a download folder. I offer it stippled bright, or stippled with a black tarnish worked into the recesses so the shape reads from across a room. The New Era logo is the emblem of the comeback years, and it comes three ways: clean stipple, stipple with black tarnish, and a stone-inlay version where crushed stone is packed into the channels, cured, ground flush, and polished until metal and mineral sit as one surface.

Then there's the flagship: the logo pendant inlaid with quartz and crushed opal. A piece named after light ought to catch some, and this is the one that does it: the opal throws sparks of color every time it moves. The badges in the grid above pull straight from live inventory, so what's listed is what's actually on the shelf.

The PL Jib

The Jib is the smallest piece in the collection: the P and the L cut as bold dimensional letters and finished with the same stipple texture as the logo pendants. It's the everyday one - light enough to forget you're wearing it, clear enough that another fan clocks it instantly.

Why stipple

Stippling is texture built dot by dot with a hand tool, hundreds of small strikes across the face of the silver. Each dot is a tiny mirror set at its own angle, so the surface breaks light into points instead of one flat glare. Under stage lighting that reads as a slow shimmer - the closest thing solid metal does to a light show, which felt like the right finish for this artist in particular. The tarnished versions take the same texture and darken the low spots with patina, so the mark carries contrast even in daylight.

Ordering

In-stock pieces ship in 3-5 business days; made-to-order work runs 2-3 weeks, because casting and finishing take what they take. Shipping is a flat $10 anywhere in the US via USPS Priority. All sales are final, but if something is off with the craftsmanship, tell me within 7 days and I'll make it right - details on the shipping & returns page. Want a Pretty Lights piece with your own stone mix? Browse the full stone catalog and send it through the custom order form. And if your lot roots run older, the lot-style collection and the Phish collection are close by; the Magic Beans inlay ring and marching bears, the Dogs In A Pile paw pendants, and the Daily Bread toast pieces have pages of their own - or head back to the full shop. Once a stippled or tarnished piece is on your neck, the sterling silver care guide explains how to keep the finish where you want it.
